Thank you to everyone who joined YWCA Delaware, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Delaware Chapter, and Black Mothers in Power for an inspiring evening of connection and solidarity at our Hood Feminism Book Talk, where we explored what it truly means to uplift and advocate for all women, especially those whose voices are often overlooked. This multigenerational gathering brought together women from across Delaware who shared powerful experiences and voiced their dedication to intersectional feminism and allyship.

Over a delicious pasta dinner, conversations flowed as women discussed a wide range of topics—from the impact of deed restrictions that made it difficult for parents to find housing to memories of riding the first desegregated school buses in 1978. The dialogue covered many issues, including the lasting impact of structural inequities, the gaps in nursing students' training on menopause, the complexities of motherhood, the importance of postpartum care, and the need to celebrate our similarities—all while acknowledging each woman's unique experiences.

The positive feedback from attendees has us thrilled to announce a follow-up session is in the works—stay tuned! As YWCA Delaware approaches its 130th anniversary, we look forward to continuing this journey with each of you as we work together to improve the quality of life for women and families across Delaware.
