Racial Healing Circles
Heal from past wounds, establish mutually respectful connections and value each person’s humanity.
“The damage done to people and communities of color are obvious. It is also important to recognize the wounds of separation, division, guilt and shame that white people carry.”
— DeWolf & Geddes
Transformational Racial Healing Circles (TRHC)
Embark on a transformative journey with our six-consecutive-week program, providing a unique opportunity to come together and share our personal stories and trushs within a courageous space. Each weekly group session, guided by a trained facilitator, seeks to illuminate the shared humanity that resides within all of us.
Our sessions are offers the opportunity to gather and share our personal stories and truths in a brave space. Our sessions are designed to facilitate healing from past wounds, fostering connections that are mutually respectful across racial and ethnic lines, honoring and valuing each individual's humanity. Together, we aim to build trusting, diverse community ties that authentically represent our shared human experience.
Central to the TRHC program is The Little Book of Racial Healing, a guiding beacon authored by Thomas DeWolf and Jodie Geddes. Their vision, one of a more connected, just, and truthful community, inspires us to acknowledge and address the unresolved and persistent racial wounds of the past, which continue to impact and harm us today.
At YWCA Delaware, we wholeheartedly share this vision. We believe that deep equality is embedded in our human capacities for reason, autonomy, moral agency, and love. Join us on this profound journey towards understanding, healing, and building a community that reflects the richness of our shared humanity.
Winter Dates will be announced soon!

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
