Fines, Fees, and You: Progress in the First State (Virtual Panel)

In 2021, Delaware ranked near last nationwide in addressing criminal legal system fines and fees (National Center for Access to Justice at Fordham Law School). By 2024, thanks to reforms, our state passed "fee elimination bills" to alleviate these financial burdens on our most vulnerable populations. Yet, the work is far from done.

Join us on Friday, February 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for a Zoom panel discussion exploring the progress Delaware has made and the work that lies ahead. Panelists include Attorney General Kathy Jennings, Priya Sarathy Jones, National Fines and Fees Justice Center, Rebecka Ash, Delaware Advocate, and Meryem Dede, Campaign to End Debtors' Prison. Moderated by U.S. Representative Sarah McBride.
